Do you know that your body carries an immense wisdom and you can communicate with it? Do you know that you don't need to spend hours talking to get unstuck? If you are ready to explore body-mind, avant garde methods for personal growth, including embodiment, creativity and energy healing, keep on reading.

My practice offers an alternative and holistic path to healing through Integrative Energy Psychotherapy (IEP). The approach is "integrative" as I blend elements from different therapeutic approaches, chosen because they have proven effective in helping my clients go deep and release the root cause of their difficulties.

You could learn how to access your body's innate wisdom and release unresolved issues, including childhood traumas, and could gently address deeper issues, such as birth and pre-birth complications, transgenerational legacies, and spiritual questions.

It draws on principles from Eastern philosophies, developed by Western psychologists and backed by over 200 research studies on energy psychology, under the auspices of the Association for the Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) of which I am a member.

During this active, creative process, you will learn powerful energy psychology tools like tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques - EFT), chakra clearing, creative visualisations, IFS-inspired creative parts work, and muscle testing. The efficacy of tools like EFT/tapping is supported by a growing body of scientific research, and it has been mentioned in a report by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as “worthy of further research".

Therapy is most effective if you become an active participant. Energy psychology tools are ideal to provide 5-10 minute releases that you can do at home and provide a deepening in your therapeutic work. This is totally optional, but it can create a sense of empowerment, ownership, and enhance your resilience. In short, you can get into the habit of looking after yourself, instead of leaving it all up to me, which will help you in every area of your life.

MEet alda

creative, FREE spirit, intuitive therapist

Hola, I'm Alda. This is where you get to know a bit about me. Ecclectic could be my middle name. My love for people, creativity and diversity brought me to travel; discover different worlds, physical and symbolic; and express myself in different art forms. Being a very intuitive, sensitive and creative person, I know first hand the pain of being met with contempt when you are just doing your best, trying to adjust to a world that is far too complex and harsh for your sensitive soul. While I engage in many creative and physical activities, at the core of it all is my dedication to self-growth, authenticity, tolerance, and self-care, which profoundly inform my practice. I try not to take myself too seriously, and I am as childlike as profound and deep. I am currently in the planning stages of writing a book on my work, sharing how creativity and energy therapy can be harmoniously used together. This allows me to offer a truly holistic, authentic and embodied perspective to our work together. Did I mention I speak three languages? You can work with me in English, Spanish and French.

CREATive Energy therapy - work turned into PLAY

To help you understand how this unique approach shifts healing from heavy "work" to engaging "play," here are three fictional examples demonstrating the Integrative Energy Psychotherapy (IEP) process. Please note that they are fictional clients, but inspired by true cases:

From "I am bad" to "I love my child parts"

The Challenge: The client, a highly sensitive person (HSP), felt paralysed by their inner critic, having integrated the irrational belief, "I am bad." They had talked in therapy before about this issue for years, but the feeling of shame and the need to withdraw persisted.

The Energy/ IFS InterPlay: Over the course of many sessions, both my client and I listened to the story unfold. In one of these sessions, the "Inner Critic" part of the person told its truth: it was a child who was trying to make himself "bad" so that outside criticism wouldn't feel so bad. The child just wanted to play, but felt unable to, as the fear of being criticised and shouted at was immense. The adult was invited to be there for their child part, and then to engage in tapping and waterfall chakra clearing to release the emotions connected to being criticised, ostracised, and made to feel "bad". From the beginning, creating inner strength and safety for this work was important. Every energy psychology intervention contributed to it, as well as the language of the parts (IFS-inspired) that allowed the client to creatively reconnect with different aspects of themselves, and their need for caring for their own emotional needs (child parts).

The Result: As the adult became more aware of the inner critic and other parts' stories, and released the emotional charge of their experiences, their body relaxed, they felt relieved, and past fears disappeared. They were able to love and accept their child parts and engage in the world in ways that they never felt possible before.

From "loneliness" to reaching out

The Challenge: A client who was a globetrotter felt deeply depressed, and puzzled by it, as they didn't feel that they had experienced massive amounts of trauma. They had only experienced several international moves and cultural changes during their childhood, and other moves during their young life. This is a common presentation. Moving homes is one of the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences), and multiple moves can be deeply traumatic, especially if the child is highly sensitive. However, many children dissociate the experience with several mechanisms, such as day-dreaming, or physical complaints. With this client, the sense of uprootedness, lack of identity and mental fragmentation was only transparent after many ardous sessions.

The Creative/Embodied/EFT InterPlay: Recognising that the body holds the map, the client was invited to notice different sensations as they told the story of a particular move. They realised that they were holding their breath, and their limbs were tense (symptoms of nervous system activation). I invited them to observe their body carefully and notice what emerged. If this tension had a voice, what would it say? "Don't get close." came to mind. Then, the tension was given a name and its shape, colour, and other characteristics were observed. While doing this, and acknowledging its existence, the shape started changing. I felt a surge of sudden sadness in the room, and I shared this with my client. They were teary, and explained that it was hard for them to fully connect to anyone in the local area for fear of losing them. My presence and silence allowed the client to cry silently while tapping on the side of the hand for soothing and a more complete release of the emerging trauma from the losses experienced.

The Result: The client learned to look into their body for information about how they felt, and to release the emotions that were trapped there. They learnt that depression is the opposite of expression, and started to reach out to others in their community that could understand them. Over the course of several months, their depression lifted, and were able to engage in activities that aligned with their truth.

From "It is imposible to heal" to "I am a healer"

The Challenge: The client was stuck in a recurring loop of constantly talking about past painful events with previous therapists, partners and friends, intelectualising their childhood trauma, yet remaining unable to feel joy or sustain healthy boundaries. They felt trapped.

The Energy Play: I asked the client if they allowed me to surrogate muscle test on their behalf to what they agreed. They expressed their doubts about being helped with phrases such as: "It is imposible for me to heal". Then, I muscle tested if it was in their highest interest to treat those sentences at that particular time. When it was, they engaged in waterfall chakra clearing, tapping, or Blue Diamond and felt the immediate release in their body. They noticed as if something had left them. Hopelessness was replaced by a tiny little hope. As sessions went by and this work continued, the client felt stronger, more confident about their journey, able to find time for self-healing at home, releasing traumas, core beliefs, and emotions as needed, and could feel the release in their body with more clarity than in the first sessions.

The Result: The client became more aware of their body, and its changes, how the heavy load was replaced by lightness and playfulness. They still intellectualised, but not in an obssessive way, only in as far as it was necessary for their wellbeing. They started to believe in their inner healing power, and even went to join a counselling course with the idea of becoming a qualified therapist.
